Jeff Sarver - President
Jeff is one of the newest members of the Shade Creek Watershed Association, joining in 2017. He joined the SCWA to assist with collecting water measurements and has become more involved over the next year, leading to him becoming our Vice President. Jeff has been a long time member of the Shade Panther Parent, managing the concessions stands at the High School football games. He is also an assistant coach for the Shanksville-Stonycreek / Shade co-op High School Rifle Team. Jeff enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his family.
Larry Hutchinson - Vice-President
Larry is the former President and a founding board member of the Shade Creek Watershed Association for the last ten years. He is also an acting member of AmeriCorps and the project manager of several of the watershed projects. Larry is also a board member for the Stonycreek Conemaugh River Improvement Project (SCRIP) and volunteers for the Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team and Outdoor Heritage at the Quemahoning Reservoir. Larry's dream is to fish Dark Shade Creek off the bridge at Goga's.
Lori Wagner - Secretary
Lori has been involved with the watershed for only a couple years, but is closely related to those who are long-time members. She is a long-time member and treasurer of Graef's Lutheran church, board member of Bedford County Players, and newly elected secretary of SCWA when she isn't working full-time in medical records. Her father inspired her to get involved in the community and Lori loves to serve and be helpful in any way she can.
Matthew Wagner - Treasurer
Matt is a long-time volunteer and board member. Matt is a mine/stone quarry driller for Wampum Hardware and has been noted to say he "destroys the Earth by day and saves it by night." He is a long-time member and past President of the Graef's Lutheran Church.
Austin & Sarah Russell
Austin & Sarah are Shade township residents, though Sarah is quite new. They both have a passion for traversing the area especially along the water ways. Austin is a longtime supporter of Shade Creek Watershed and Sarah is glad for the chance to get her feet wet in non profit groups. Austin has lived along Dark Shade Creek all his life, and has seen the fruits of the groups work firsthand. Sarah works for a grant writing firm, who we hope will become friends of the Watershed.
John Kimmel
John is a returning board member and enjoys all aspects of the Great Outdoors. He works on the newsletter and the website in his "spare time", which isn't nearly often enough.
