Larry Hutchinson - President
Larry is the President and a founding board member of the Shade Creek Watershed Association for the last ten years. He is also an acting member of AmeriCorps and the project manager of several of the watershed projects. Larry is also a board member for the Stonycreek Conemaugh River Improvement Project (SCRIP) and volunteers for the Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team and Outdoor Heritage at the Quemahoning Reservoir. Larry's dream is to fish Dark Shade Creek off the bridge at Goga's by the year 2015.
Matthew Wagner - Vice-President
Matt is a long-time volunteer and one of our newest board members. Matt is a mine/stone quarry driller for Wampum Hardware and has been noted to say he "destroys the Earth by day and saves it by night." He is a long-time member and past President of the Graef's Lutheran Church.
Daryl Reed - Secretary
Daryl is one of the newest board members and is the Secretary for the watershed. She is a 3 year AmeriCorps member serving at the Dark Shade Brownfield Project, which works hand-in-hand with SCWA. Daryl's interest in the environment doesn't stop there. She is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from Ashford University.
Bobbe Lafferty - Treasurer
Bobbie is a returning board member and Treasurer of the watershed. She is the Office Manager of the Central City Water Authority.
Eric Robertson
Eric had been Vice-President for many years and the in-house Engineer for the watershed for the last ten years. Eric works for the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts and has designed numerous projects for the watershed and thirteen counties in Pennsylvania.
Austin Russell
Austin is a long-time member of SCWA and one of our newest board members. Austin heads up our Water Sampling Committee and he is also a volunteer for the Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team. Austin loves the outdoors. Growing up, Austin lived along Dark Shade Creek where at the time the water ran orange. He is actively pursuing the dream of Dark Shade Creek again becoming one of the premier fisheries in the state of Pennsylvania.
Sharon Harkcom
Sharon previously served as Treasurer of SCWA for several years and is a returning Board member. She is employed at the Borough of Central City where she is the Secretary/Treasurer. She has also been the Project Manager for the Borough's Brownfield Project for the past 10 years, which has set the groundwork for several projects SCWA has completed. In addition to this, Sharon is also actively involved in other aspects of the community. She is currently the Pennsylvania Department President of the Daughter's of Union Veteran's of the Civil War 1861 - 1865, where she also holds two local offices. She is the Church Council President of Graef's Lutheran Church and sings with the Sacred Harp Singers.
